Helen Coley-Smith
Change & Engagement Partner
Helen is passionate about helping people and organisations work through complex and sensitive change challenges. She loves change, internal communication, facilitation and coaching work – the more complicated and messy the challenge, the better! Particular favourites are strategy-led transformation, HR-related change and the facilitation of team retreats. She’s never happier than when working with ‘mission-led’ organisations with a strong cause. When she’s not working, Helen’s favourite moments are when cuddling up with her children, being on top of a mountain or immersed in a gripping story.

Philip Hodson
Brand & Communications Partner
Philip has thoroughly enjoyed over 25 years of helping to create and manage great corporate brands all over the world. He’s helped over 80 organisations as diverse as BP, Vodafone, Syngenta and the CBI to understand who they are and where they are going, and to communicate what is best about those brands, especially through the great stories they have to tell. When not wearing his branding and communications hat, he loves to travel, especially spending time in SW France, where he has established and now runs an art forum, FLAME! He also takes every opportunity to enjoy the very full cultural life that London has to offer – the ultimate adults’ playground – and he’s a self-confessed ‘artoholic’.

Alasdair McKenzie
Culture & Engagement Partner
Alasdair works with leadership teams to shape the culture of their organisations, especially during periods of significant change. He has been a consultant with Smythe Dorward Lambert (SDL) and Penna, and Head of Internal Communication at Serco. He developed expertise in assessing organisational culture when working on several international mergers, and at SDL’s Boston office, developed assignments for McKinsey, AstraZeneca and Novartis. In the UK, he led culture change projects with The Pension Service and the NHS in Scotland; people engagement work with LVMH and Experian; and internal communications projects for Novartis and HSBC. He has also advised RBS Retail on change communication and co-authored an important cultural review of the BBC, post-Savile. Alasdair is a keen golfer and a supporter of Scottish rugby. He is also father to three teenagers, so also works as a part time taxi-driver!

He has over 20-years’ experience of solving business and organisational challenges as a management consultant (Ernst & Young and Capgemini), operational leader and global executive team member. He has significant experience establishing new ventures and leading major transformational change across a range of sectors: Professional and Business Services, Outsourcing, Private Equity, Financial Services, Energy and Government. Donna Reeves
Associate Internal Communications Consultant
Donna believes that no-one comes to work to do a bad job but, often, company processes can make it difficult to do a great one. She is passionate about connecting the dots between purpose, strategy and day-to-day reality for employees. She spent 16 years at Kingfisher Plc, a multi-cultural, international organisation with 80,000 employees in nine countries, where she was Director of Group Internal Communications & Engagement. Since venturing out on her own, Donna has worked with smaller, family-run and venture capital-backed organisations. She loves breaking down barriers and getting people to talk and share. When not doing this, she’s a board trustee for a charity, ‘Dress for Success Greater London’, that helps women gain economic independence by supporting them with business clothing and interview support. She is a certified strengths coach, and a rugby union and Formula 1 fan!

Nicole Wassall
Associate Organisational Development Consultant
Nicole’s favourite challenges involve uncovering insights that release organisational potential. Whether it’s re-engaging employees, helping shift emotional blocks to change, or simplifying a complicated message so people ‘get it’ – it’s the people element of organisational problem solving she finds interesting, and sensible creative solutions she finds satisfying. Nicole has extensive consultancy experience, working with organisations as diverse as Amnesty International, BAE Systems, Vodafone, SABMiller, Unilever and HSBC. She gained this experience working for Added Value, Brand Union and Penna, as well as working in-house with clients. Her other main interest is art, where she also enjoys the odd creative challenge! She works across various media and exhibits internationally. The thread that holds her artistic and consultancy work together is an understanding of neuroscience – the often counter-intuitive influences of emotional shifts and opinion forming.

Solveig (Sol) Oliver
Associate Design Partner
Ever since the spark was lit when she sat on her dad’s desk at the age of six watching him create an OMO ad for Unilever back in the 1970s, Sol has been doing ‘creative stuff’. After graduating with a BA Hons. in Graphic Design, she has worked with communications and events agencies and it’s never ceased to amaze her how wide, varied and fun design briefs and projects have been and continue to be. Her focus lies in the challenge of 2D graphics & illustration from designing a name badge to filling atriums, creating brochures, corporate identities, design guidelines, exhibition graphics and web design. In recent years her projects have come from the worlds of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, automotive, communications, hospitality, charities, local authorities and finance – working for blue chip companies and organisations such as: Unilever, Boehringer Ingelheim, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Roche, Advantage Austria, UNICEF, Lexus, Toyota, Jeep, Vauxhall, Opel, Microsoft, Nike, Center Parcs, Madame Tussauds and KPMG.
