Bringing a respected brand into the 21st century
Triland Metals
Stuart created a corporate identity and marketing communications tools for a leading commodities broker based in London, New York and Tokyo.
The Issues and Challenge
Triland Metals, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, is a non-ferrous metals brokerage firm operating in the futures brokerage business, primarily on the London Metal Exchange.
It had a corporate identity that was thirty years old and needed to be brought into the 21st century.
What we did
Stuart developed a new identity that leveraged the familiar three Mitsubishi diamonds in a distinctive symbol, and combined this with an elegant wordmark.
He commissioned striking photographs of base metals and incorporated them into all of their communications, including the website, intranet, dealing software, signage and Japanese, Mandarin and English corporate brochures.
What we achieved
The revitalised brand image cemented Triland Metals’ reputation as the leading base metal specialist dealer on the London Metal Exchange.

From old to new - seamlessly
The Triland Metals re-brand was approached both pragmatically and creatively. Stuart’s ability to deliver on all stages of the re-brand, from logo creation to website design was particularly impressive in managing a seamless transition from old to new.
